dent in new run-about

I brought my wife a little 107 the other month and last night it appears someone dented the door when she was parked in Tescos car park.
The dent is minor but as the car is met blue it is obvious. Has anyone tried the heat/cool method for getting a dent out and it has actually worked?
Any other ideas for diy removal?. As i said, the dent is minor-effectively just a slight indent in the metalwork and more annoying than anything else.

When some other members had dents removed at the RR meet the chap did a great job and charged around £30 a go. It's quite a skill so I would be reluctant to practice on my car, if you wanna try and teach yourself maybe pick up a wing or such from a breakers yard?
