God I hate the dentist.....had an appointment today for a filling after one of my teeth chipped...was so sensitive for her to work on she needed to inject my gum twice to numb it....and 3hrs later the feeling has finally come back....

how long do you lot leave it before eating after dentist work like that?

The cost of dentist work I really do feel like giving up all solids and food altogether...even if I have cut out all sugar and rubbish from my diet.

No luck with dentist, closed for the night.....filling itself feels hard enough so I'm resorting to chewing on one side with small portions

What kind of dentist is this? All the fillings now they use sets immediately. They use that blue light gun thing to set it right there and then.

As for the numbness, would you have preferred she didn't? So, what if its 3 hours? What did you think anesthetics just disappears the moment you step out of the door ?

No course not, I was just saying...not moaning!

But it was an NHS dentist, but they didnt use the blue light gun to set the fillings.
