Has anyone elses Clevo laptop started to get any dents in the aluminium lid?

I lovingly care for mine making sure it is always safe, and secure. But it seems that if the mrs ever puts the laptop away in the drawer, the next time i come to use it there is another small dent in the lid.... Grrrrrr

This morning i noticed there was another small dent that was deeper that the last one... She claims not to have done it.... but then she said when she put it in the drawer (zipped up in its neoprene laptop sleeve) the power supply jammed against the drawer when closing the drawer.... The only way this could have happened is if the power supply was on top of the laptop. The dent looks very much like a pin from a power supply wedging against it could have caused it!!

Now im due to get married to her in june this year..... Do i tell her its not going to happen? (joking b.t.w) :(

Ask her to be more careful or to leave your laptop and let you put it away.

If she thinks you are being funny say to her that you expect the proper amount of care and respect to be paid to your belongings as she would to you and you to her and her belongings, I think that is quite reasonble myself. My girlfried would understand this anyway. She might be a bit weird at a certain time of the month but then what women isn't, otherwise though, with her level head on, she wouldn't have a problem with it.

Not sure what else you can do, other than tell her if she dents it again you will dent her and thus the marriage isn't going to happen :p ...which probably isn't the best course of action. ...or maybe it is, maybe fate is trying to tell you something :p

Oh thats not good.... If it looks pretty bad and is really getting to you then you could maybe consider chassis painting (expensive but nice) or the adhesive lid vinyls (cheap but sometimes spoil the looks) that you can get.

I've not got any dents in mine yet. I worry though as I usually pick it up from the bag by "clasping" it from base to lid and sometimes feel as if I'm applying pressure to the lid.
