Trying to get my 7900XTX RMA'd as it keeps black screening and the fans kick up to 100%, A well known issue, Tried asking for an RMA twice now through OCUK, Each time the feller on the phone makes a myriad of excuses as to why I shouldn't "Have you tried reinstalling Windows, Driver updates...." blah blah blah.... told him I have tried everything, even swapping the GPU out for an older Nvidia 10 series I have as backup which worked flawlessly.

Do OCUK employees get a bonus for denying GPU RMA's ?

They were fine with an RMA for me for a cpu on Monday. But I did fully explain all of the various things I’d tried leading up to needing to call them.

I think they generally just want to make sure you've checked any potential avenues before going to the trouble and possible expense of an RMA, there's a lot of PEBCAK out there and if you return a product which isn't faulty you'll be out of postage costs on top of system downtime.

While rare I have had to deal with RMA's via OCUK a couple of times and they've been spot on, you just need to detail the problem and what you've done while being clear and concise.

Why don’t you use the web forms? Much easier than faffing on a call surely.

I generally call up when I have a problem, web forms can take a few days for a response unfortunately. I used to find the forum CS section excellent but I'm not sure if it's even there anymore?

Pardon the double post, long day and half asleep!

Take a video of the problem so you can email it to support.

Out of curiosity-up to 99% fan it's ok, does it black screen only if you manually set fans to 100%?

I misworded it, The fans can be at idle or 20-30% and out of the blue the fans will go up to 100% and the screen will go black, I've monitored it and it's not temp related which was my initial thought with fans going crazy.

as it appears you’ve covered everything. Is there a way of testing in another machine?
