Hi all,

I bought a Sony V3000 40" LCD from John Lewis and I am not happy with it's black levels. I have fiddled around in the settings and it is still very poor so I am wanting to exchange it for another (different brand) model.

Is this possible? Anyone have any experience of this?

Cheers,

TheDean

Returns procedure
We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in fully resaleable condition. Returns should be made within a reasonable time (usually 28 days) and in original, undamaged packaging.*

Took less time to find that on their website than it did to type this post.

Ignore that bit about the packaging, they can't refuse an exchange on those grounds. Call OFT on them if they do.

If theres not actually anything wrong with the set which there doesnt seem to be they can refuse for whatever they like, they are doing the customer a favour by saying you can return it for whatever reason

JL's are usually very good for customer service, certainly worth going to speak to them and explain the concern.

Indeed. I forgot the fact the TV wasn't actually broken.
