Hi all,

I posted on here a little while ago with an AD query and never got to the bottom of it, so i thought i'd start another thread to try and get things sorted.

Basically, I am trying to add http://intranet.domainname.com to the local intranet sites list within Internet Explorer to all users within a specific OU in our Active Directory domain.

I can manually add this setting by performing the following:

Open IE > Tools > Internal Options > Security Tab > select Local Intranet icon > Sites > Advanced > and then adding the URL in here.

However, when i try to deploy this setting via GP it does not seem to replicate.

I have found the setting within GP under User configuration > Windows settings > Internet Explorer maintenance > Security > Security Zones and Content Ratings > and then clicking Modify settings under the Secuirty Zones frame.

But the URL's i add here do not get replicated to the users nor the to the other domain controllers on the network?!

Can anyone advise where i am going wrong?

Thanks
Dan.

Dont know where it went wrong, but just tried this out in GPO, applied to my test OU and it worked.
Logged in as the user, checked IE, tools, internet options, security. Checked the intranet zone and the url i added was there.
Have you tried logging in as user in the OU and running "gpresult.exe" from a dos window. That will show what GPO's have been applied.

Sorry i cant be much more help

Are the permissions on the GPO you have created correct? As stated above, gpresult will tell you if they are being applied for that class of user/ machine.
