depressive vs non depressive games

DO you feel some games make you depressed....seriously.

Like I was playing Shenmue and the quiet atmosphere makes me quite depressed. Like playing many rpg games I think make me depressed somewhat especially ff8....but its weird its still enjoyable.

Like fallout 3 was depressing and I feel kinda depressed when I play it but I still like it. But fallout new vegas depresses me so much I cant play it.

Then I play mafia 2 and man the story quite depressing and slow driving depresses me

I guess like a dark movie, maybe its depressing but yo still watch it?

Then I was playing online PES and losing and making no shots I get depressed/

I try BF3 beta and I suck and our team was crap and I get frustrated/depressed.

lol

But then I play red faction armageddon and smash stuff up I was happy, I play tropico and its fun, I play l4d online and killing spree, I top player in bfbc2...I feel happy

If you get depressed that easily you probably are depressed. More sleep / exercise, less gaming.

A game simply could never affect me in a negative way emotionally. They can scare me slightly sure, but not in any other way.

was gonna buy fifa 12 but I dunno

I look forward to full release of bf3 and getting good at it.

maybe ill play MW1 cod4 again...still many players?

First of all, you are not "depressed". That word means something completely different to what you're talking about.

Secondly, if you're feeling a bit downbeat after playing FF8 then try FF7, that world is a sad, poor place

If FF8 was depressing you playing it wrong, sure it had emotinal scenes but was awesome the whole way through. Cheer up, its only a game.

yes there is something about the loneliness off resident evil and such that is depressing, quiet, alone, in corridors lol.

ff7 I am playing onpssp and completed before its not as dark as ff8 and has much more colour in the enironmenet and characters as does ff9 but still i think rpgs and such have a ''lonely'' dark feel to them...whereas a game like super smahs bros doesnt.

When I play shenmue i feel like im this dude in japan and my dads been killed and im on my own just wandering about aimlessley its pretty depressing stuff

not depressing..i dunno the word...but ff8 us very dark moody game IMO.

As was Fallout 3.

Fallout vegas maybe it just bores me too death I cant play it.

Dead Space 1+2 I thorughly enjoyed and didnt feel depreesive but I was alone on a spaceship with alines..maybe I was too exicted to be depressed.

I think I cba with long story rpgs atm.

I kinda know what you mean about Fallout 3/NV... they're 2 of my favourite games but I guess they are a bit depressing in a way. I wouldn't say I ever got depressed from playing them though, I enjoyed em

I suffered from depressing for years but never been depressed when gaming like all sorts of games except platform.
Some games are dark an moody like stalker but would never make me feel depressed real life can be depressing around winter time is the worst for me so do a lot of gaming at this time helps me feel better.
