I really really like the first, not so sure on the 2nd, cant work out why, perhaps its not the right sort of shot for HDR :)

Yes it has anusual look to it I must admit.
 
I prefer richer colours with landscapes. Spent a couple of days in the Lakes last year in August and did 300 odd miles. Love the roads, the fishing and the landscapes. Camped in Keswick. I think I'll live there someday.
