Hi there,

Posted this one another forum but only had two replies, so was hoping that I could get a little more feedback here :)

Re-designing my site and have come up with the following:
http://www.OpticalGaming.com/new

Would appreciate any comments / suggestions on it :)

Cheers.

Theres 3 Columns, 2 of 3 are light black other is gray. Above the colums is a header which is an image. The Text is all white and the center content has a dashed border.

I can explain your site in a couple of sentences.

I think a little more colour in the text would be good. Maybe make the headers an orange colour that matches the chevrons you have next to your links.

Also, how do you create the drop shadow either side of the content? Trying to work it out from your CSS and I can't seem to suss it.

EDIT: Uh-oh, you have used tables for your layout. Tut tut. It is a nice site but using tables for anything other than tabular data is not the proper way of doing it.

* I like the colour scheme (i'm a fan of gray and orange :o )
* Theres something al ittle off about it... I thin the fact that you have such clear borders around the outside but the inside has a distinct lack of border.
* Probably 99% of (non design type) people wont notice/care, but those home etc links and the copyrigth info arent dead centre

Nice design, but room for improvement:

-Top navigation is practically invisible; might want to create a navbar of some sort or just make it stand out
-Add top padding to the left and right columns
-Code it properly - layout, headings, lists, remove unnecessary  s
