Design Software

I'm interested in building my own shed/garage but I need to design it first. Anyone know of any software (free) that is easy to use and will enable me to put in measurements etc - preferably in 3D ?

I've found google sketchup and I'm giving that a go. It seems to be fairly easy to use although it can get a bit confusing sometimes. I'm sure I'll get better as I learn to use it more.

in my experience, the more you pay for CAD software, the easier it is to use.

example:
i used Prodesktop2000 for my DT GCSE --> relatively easy to use cost:unknown (not free)
i used Google Sketchup recently --> boggling (maybe i'm just crap) cost:free
i was given a Copy to Solidworks 2007 from my Uncle (no, really) --> supremely easy to use cost: several thousand
