Desk built to order

Seem to be struggling on finding a suitable desk for my setup, casually looking around on the internet and finding just cheap flimsy desks from IKEA and other places alike and its just not what I need. I'm looking for a desk that is solid looking and well built to hold 3 monitors and a 900D case with room to spare, obviously the width of the desk will have to be bigger than the length of the 900D don't want any overlapping at all and also enough room for my keyboard and mouse, is there any places that do desks built to order because I'll probably not get a desk already built that will have all my needs stated above.

I have just come to the same conclusion - I have two monitors and load of junk all round me so thought about desk with cupboards etc.

Like you all I could find was small metal framed stuff - The metal framed desk I have now is quite substantial and has slide out keyboard shelf and printer shelf underneath and did have shelves above but binned them.

Before we came to this house we had a renter and spare bedroom so I got myself two oak wooden filing cabinets -

put them where I thought desk was right size then bought a length of kitchen worktop and put on top- it worked out quite well - loads of top space and room underneath for other bit's.

I have a more radical solution now which involves buying single wardrobe - cutting it down and fitting between two existing built in wardrobes that have one of said filing cabinets in between - hoping this will remove a load of stores (Print paper/cartridges-and general clutter) from on and under desk - even thinking of getting printer in new wardrobe.

Have to say it's a nightmare. - I have now created a load of work for myself.

Ikea Galant desks are strong, large (customibsable) and you can fit loads on.

Mine currently has 3 computer towers and three monitors and a bit of room.

2x small ikea galant tables

1x breakfast bar worktop from b&q

24xwood screws with washers

instructions:
assemble galant tables, but leave wooden top off, use wood screws to attatch at ends of breakfast bar. place computer tower, monitors, mouse and keyboard onto tables. spend several years cable managing.

bingo one epic setup.

holds triple screens, 540 air case [plenty of room for a 900d depth wise], keyboard+ mouse with enough room to set up a laptop stand+laptop as well as other periphery [say a home server, printer etc] behind/beside monitors
