Not really sure where to put this tbh so I'll try my luck in here.

The following pic is taken from below my desk

This is driving me crazy now I want some sort of cable management.
My initial idea was to build an MDF/plywood box to encase all the cables, I bought the materials but my workmanship isnt up to much so i gave up on that pretty quickly.

What options do i have ?
I will more than likely run trunking down the wall anyway for the stuff that is plugged into the lower sockets.

Thanks for looking

Stop looking under your desk?

I think Wilkos do tubing stuff for tidying up wires.

It wouldnt bother me if I couldnt see it all the time, but when I sit watching tv or playing Xbox it is at about head height, so all I can see is messy cables.

The "tubing" I think you are referring to is called trunking, I can use some trunking but that wont cover up the messy wiring coming out of the surge protector. I need something else for that (Bigger)

I thought only girls complained about 'all those wires' :p.

Couldn't you just tidy it slightly by having all those cables just running neatly straight downwards, and all coiling/bundling done on the floor out of sight? Maybe even move that whole upper 4-socket adaptor down out of sight?

I'm a bit of a purist myself, and the tangled mess of wires lurking below my desk does sit awkwardly in the back of my mind. So I covered them up as best I could with a duvet cover and just pretend they're not here.

Fire risk? Probably. But I don't have to look away and pretend to be distracted when I walk into my study any more!

Cablox - might not be what you are after.

Or these from ikea

Signum cable organiser.

I use heavy duty velcro myself on the back of my powerstip and stick it to the side under the desk and run longer strips vertical along the back and run the cables through it.
