Desk Lighting

I figured this thread could go here since the desk/room gallery was here too.

I don't know how different this is to the desk/room gallery, but I basically wanted something specific to lighting. I really have no idea what's out there and what's best for lighting. For me I'd probably like two desk lamps either side of my monitor. LED would be nice but I need to do lots of physical desk reading so they might be too directional? Not sure.

Just would like to see what's out there and what others have done.

I've got an LED lamp at the moment on one side of my desk and it seems fine but when reading on my kindle i much prefer to have is as ambient light as when the kindle is directly under the LED lamp its to directional and causes glare. I was thinking about going for the whole LED strip behind the monitor so its just ambient light permanently or even LED strips under the lip of the desk so the light onto of the desk is very minimal but just enough for whats needed.
