Hey guys,

Not sure if i've posted this in the right section but I'm trying to find out if anyone knows of any mods or bays that give the ability to mount a 5.25" front bay device on the desk.

I want to free up the front of my case (Phanteks Enthoo Luxe TGE) so I can add another radiator but i don't want to lose my ROG front base or dual temp sensors and trying to see if there is any way I can put the ROG base and sensors on my desk.

Thanks for any advice, if available

use something like a flex-bay 5.25 drive mount? just drill them into the desk (or onto some scrap wood and use double sided tape to stick it to the desk incase you ever want to move it/put it back in) then mount the front base to it (presuming the cables are long enough).

Thanks for the reply.

I see what you're getting at but was thinking more along the lines of a cage or something, then I mount it to the desk.

I've searched high and low and can't find anything suitable so I may have to make something out of some scrap mdf I have and just cover it in oak veneer as my desk is made from a solid oak worktop.

could try and find a 5.25 cage on ebay or from a cheapo case then use aforementioned mounts for the desk? as you said though i think making it custom would be more appropriate, fit into your area better and it's always fun to make stuff yourself :P
