desktop calender app?

I've tried Rainlendar but doesn't really do what I want. I want a one which is pinned to the desktop. But What I want is a to do list or box for each day I can wright things in.

But Rainlendar only shows the to do list for today and not for every day.

Anyone have any ideas?

outlook on the desktop seems like it does what I want but is there no longer a free version of outlook :eek:

it does appear to be included with vista.

There was never a free version of Outlook.

There was a free version of Outlook Express, but it was crap for calendering.

ah that's probably what I was thinking of. never used outlook.

Is there anything similar even if it's a stand alone app rather than a desktop jobbie.
