Desktop Computer Insurance

Hi, I am building an X99 rig and I plan to water cool the system. I am interested to know if anyone has experience with adding such an item to their household contents insurance and if so do you have any ideas of premiums or recommended insurance companies to use?
When finished the system will be above the standard insurance limit for general computers so I need to look at other options. I am not sure if insurance companies would even cover a custom built water cooled rig as its a non-retail purchase. Any ideas?

I'd like to know this as well actually. I've got insurance for my laptop and bike as a student, but would like to know how to cover accidental damage/theft on my desktop as well... would just plain old contents cover it?

I think you're allowed unspecified items up to £1000. Anything over has to be listed.

Could be wrong though.

I listed mine separately with a total value. Got all the invoices too so should it ever be questioned I can justify the prices.

If you need to claim, claim on each individual item that you bought. Is water damage covered?

Most of these questions are hugely dependant on your individual policy.
