Can anyone reccomend a small utility to monitor my POP3 email and tell me when I have new messages? Sounds simple but I just can't find anything.

What client are you using? Thunderbird has an extension that minimises to the system tray and if you set it up to check for new emails regularly it will pop up with a notification. Eudora and Outlook 2003 do the same.

Is there a way of doing this with Outlook 2003? I'm using it in work and its kind of annoying having to keep it open in my taskbar all the time.

When you minimise it you will also notice an icon in the system tray, right click and select minimise to tray and hey presto it will disappear from the taskbar. When you get a new email it will pop up and scroll across in a little window. (That is the only cool feature in Outlook)

It's for my Work laptop to let me know when my Blueyonder account has a new email, so I'm just using the webmail rather than a proper client.

L33,

That poptray looks pretty cool, testing now. Cheers. :)

EDIT: Thunderbird minimised is running at 23mbs, Poptray at 6.5mbs plus it has all the nice features such as sound alerts. Nice. :)
