My Wife has gotten into second life for some reason but she was sat there playing for 5 hours last night and the fan on her Dell XPS laptop was sounding like an aircraft taking off, I've warned her she could damage it leaving it in that state for so long so (after sulking at me) she's decided to buy a desktop PC, what I want is something as cheap as possible that will run that thing flawlessly (I know some of her friends have issue's running it on newer computers). Any ideas?

Lies

I have gotten into second life for some reason but as I was sat there playing for 5 hours last night and the fan on my Dell XPS laptop was sounding like an aircraft taking off, I've been warned that I could damage it leaving it in that state for so long so, after a bit of sulking, I have decided to buy a desktop PC, what I want is something as cheap as possible that will run that thing flawlessly (I know some of my friends have issue's running it on newer computers). Any ideas?

Edited for accuracy.

Lol not lies but I can see why you'd think that.
Can get a mouse/keyboard, she can have my monitor as I'm going to get a new one to go with my Surface anyway.
Will need an OS, Windows 10 is fine (she's running it on Win 10 at the moment).

Second life is old as hell it should pretty much run on any fairly modern PC. £500 is more than double the budget you need to spend for a desktop to run it if you already have a monitor. I'd probably just go second hand.

Looking into getting a second hand machine, or collecting up some bits from some friends. Hopefully I can get a enough parts to do this and save a few £££
