Desktop Gamertag alternatives?

I tried the desktop gamertag thing and it worked fine, but it's left me with an active desktop making all my icon light up with a horrible white background.

Are there any other programs i can use so i can view my gamertag and stats on my desktop without it making my desktop active?

It may be a long shot, but maybe Yahoo widget engine has a widget to do it?
