Desktop icon colours

I installed call of duty 2 and the text on all my icons seems to have gone a dark blue colour.

I went

Rightclick, properties, appearance, advanced, but I can only change colours and can't get it how it used to be. (transparant I think)

right click desktop,

arrange icons by..

uncheck lock web items on desktop
