Desktop Icons After Reboot

Hi, i read through a sticky on this forum about tweaking and went a little crazy with it, that was a couple of weeks ago and now im wanting to rearragne my desktop icons for some reason, however, after restart the icons go back to "Auto-Arrange", was wondering if anyone could quickly tell me how to stop this? Cheers.

Is auto arrange enabled? if you right click on desktop then arrange icons?

Yeh, i uncheck auto-arrange then change my icons around, then i reboot, and auto-arrange is checked again and i do it all again.

Thanks for the link, i tried one of the methods suggested, i deleted the necessary subfolders in Regedit. Hopefully this will save my icon position, will tell you if it's succesful.

lol, thanks, that method worked perfectly, i rebooted and all the icons are where they should be, cheers.
