Desktop icons not showing....

Well last few weeks my desktop items have decided to not show, there al just white with a arrow in the corner of them, and also, in the last week or so the writing on the icons have gone bold.

any ideas ?

download tune up utilities and run the tune up repair wizard...that should fix it

You using XP or Vista?
I'm on XP and while changing icons for the startmenu/folders etc, I changed one and couldn't change it back but the program I was using allowed me to rebuild the icons and I got it back to how it was.
I can't remember what its called but will post back later with the name.

Also if you are using XP I think tweak ui lets you do the same thing.
