my pc desktop is jittering and i don't know why. i'm suspecting that there is a problem with some hardware. sometimes the mouse will jitter for a second and continue and other times when i'm playing music in wmp it will freeze and stop responding for several seconds. usually i hear a noise like interruption before computer continues as nomal. does anyone have idea what is causing it?

What OS you running?
has it just started or been happening a while?
If just started have you made any changes? tried doing a system restore to earlier point in case windows update or something been the cause?
