I have a desktop machine running Windows 7 64-bit, and a Samsung netbook running Windows XP 32-bit. I recently tried networking these for the first time, and set them both to the same WORKGROUP name. Immediately, I was able to share files (after setting the folder sharing where I wanted it) and have been able to for a month or so.
However all of a sudden, the desktop can see the netbook, but the netbook cannot see the desktop?!? The only thing that I can think that I have done is install Kaspersky Net Security 2010 on the netbook. It was always installed on the desktop.
Before I go ahead and uninstall it (to test the theory), can anyone shed any light on what may have happened, or what I ought to check?
Thanks in advance
