desktop sidebar tool / thing

Hi

some time ago i used a desktop side tool / thing that i postioned on the right hand side of my desktop. This could be configured to get live news feeds, weather, system resources and intergated with outlook for tasks new emails etc, etc. Having not used it for a number of months i carn't remeber the name of it or find a similar tool for the job. Has anyone got any thoughts / suggestions?

it wasn't Samurize, was a lot easyer to configure that that

afraid not, it stayed perminently on the desktop and resized any windows to fit to the size of the remaining screen.
