Hi guys,

Been trying to find some small desktop stands for my Ruark MR1s, most of the ones I have found are too big unfortunately.

Does anyone know of any available in the UK before I go the DIY route?

Cheers

Yeah I like them a lot, amazing for the size. I might look into a sub, and try a few things such as plugging the ports as bass can be a bit boomy with it firing onto my desk. Ideally I'd like some stands with a hole in the middle, be interesting to see how it affects the sound.

Yea i have mine roughly 3 feet apart on a wooden desktop and connected to a musical fidelity V90DAC and usb into the PC and optical for the TV i was thinking of stands for mine also

You would have thought Ruark them self's would have designed sme stands for them. Cause they do advertise them to be good for TV speakers also. Not every stand would fit them on lol

Thanks for the link rids they look ideal. Will give them a call on Monday P.S just spoke to them on the out of office number. Since there opening hours clash with my work times. And he has said that they can do stands so sent him a pic of my set up

That's good - the size was below the minimum for the usual suspects so it was a pleasant surprise to find the Itemaudio set. :)

The IsoAcoustics L8R130 may just about fit as it is the same width as the speaker. OP was looking for something smaller (3"x4") though, so I assumed he'd already looked at these.

Yeah I had a look at the IsoAcoustics stands, almost ideal apart from the depth. Slightly too much at 17.8cm. The itemaudio ones look good however not convinced they are worth the asking price of £99 excluding shipping. Cheers for the suggestions.

I just ordered the Atacama 10s. The probs I had was the sstands was rather to low or to high so I got 1 metre high the desktop the speakers are currently on is 30 inches from floor to the top shelf. So went little bigger if I went smaller stands they would be to low

After trying various options with the Ruarks, I've returned them as managed to get deal on some Adam Artist 3s. Everything I was looking for in terms of sound signature. Shame about the ruarks just found the bass a bit muddy overall.
