desktop too zoomed in on lcd tv

Use the nvidia software to set a custom res. Ntune: http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.54.00.html also does your tv support 1080 officially? Because setting it at that will lok bad if it doesn't because its out of range.

The TV supports 720p, 720i and one of the 1080's (cant remember which one) it does look good though do you think i should change it ?

No its fine keep it to what you like best. The reason i mentioned it was because you said it was a cheap LCD and generally cheap and 1080 don't go together, but if your happy with it thats all that matters
