For the past 3 months I've been trying to decide which monitor to purchase to replace my current aging monitor setup.
What I currently have :
1x 24 inch Samsung Sync master purchased in 2010/11 period. Crappy TN panel and it was cheap at the time!
1x 21.5 inch widescreen View Sonic, purchased when Battlefield 2 (yes BF2! released in 2005!) came out. Excellent monitor but its starting to show its age.

I use Photoshop (not a huge amount!) but not exclusively! I also code too but my main purpose is gaming.

These monitors also need to be 24 inch, i have the desk that i could fit two 27 inch monitors but would lack space for anything else.

The threads and reviews I have read point towards a Dell U2412M but I then think will I really need an IPS if my main purpose is gaming? Would I still see an improvement anyway if I get a new TN panel 120HZ or GSYNC monitor?
I will upgrade my graphics card to a 970 soon, currently running a 670.
