Desperate for help with computer blackscreening!

I am having an infuriating problem with my PC! This has cost me quite a bit of money so far (but at least am upgrading).

Problems all started when I installed the ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 graphics card (bought from Overclockers on 16 Feb 2015). My PC would randomly blackscreen with the following symptoms:

- If music was playing, it would do the weird 1 second loop over and over (hung PC) uhh-uhh-uhh etc
- Computer itself remains on, fans still going
- Monitor blackscreens
- Can't see/do anything but reset
- Playing games is fine, never hangs
- Browing internet most likely to hang, opening new tabs etc

My SSD was pretty old, so upgraded it to a new 256gb samsung. Reinstalled everything, and (not too suprisingly) problem

persiss.

I thought, oh well probably drawing too much power from PSU, or PSU is failing. It is a BeQuiet 750w Gold. It was pretty old (~5 years). Someone I spoke to told me gaming will use a steady power consumption, whilst opening browsers etc can spike the power which might explain it.

I decided to test this theory by underclocking the card, and voila the problem dissapeared!

Fast forward a month or two, and I have upgraded my rig:

- 1,000w EVGA platinum PSU
- New mobo
- New CPU
- New RAM

Installed the lot, fresh instal windows and the problem is back! Argh! Underclocking the GPU seems to stop it for now.

Nothing in event viewer I can see. Temps before crashes are 30c-35c for CPU/GPU. I have two separate power cables from PSU connected to each of the two plugs on the GPU.

Please help me! What is causing this, I'm going frickin mad! Only thing to 'solve' it is underclocking GPU which sucks ass for a new build!

I had a problem like this couple weeks back but mine turned out to be a faulty PCI-E slot

I just broke down the problems,

1 stick ram, 2 stick ram different HDD, different GFX card obvious yours has cost a lot more than mine but if you have changed everything else then i only assume like the others have mentioned if could be your GFX at fault?

it would be covered under warranty wouldnt it?

Ah damnit. I no longer have the box, is that an issue? Also have a LAN party coming up, can't be without gfx. Will I be penalised for continuing to use it for a couple more weeks?

I'm with the above, I had something similar with my 6950s.
the only way I knew the PC was actually still doing anything was the sounds still goin on in the background
