Desperate for sound card help please re 5.1DD

I am trying to obtain 5.1DD from my PC sound card to my Amp

I have 2 PCI cards, Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 & Sweex Digital 5.1 SC003

The Live card has digital out vie 3.5mm SPDIF socket of which I tried to connect to my amy via a 3.5mm SDIF to Toslink lead - no sound at all

The Sweex card can output stereo sound only from the Optic or Coaxial ports irrespective of what audio my media has & still does so even if I choose "Pass Through" option on media player

I have tried using WMP11, Nero Show Time & PowerDVD all giving the same failing results

Can ANYONE PLEASE help me here, Ive been trying for a month now & no luck

Could it be a driver prob ? - although I do have latest drivers for both

Or can any1 think of something else or even recommend a plug & play soundcard that will give me 5.1DD surround when connecting to my amp

Is its a Dobly AMP?

My JBL is a Dolby and that works fine with 5.1 through a standard 3.5mm to 2xRCA AUX to the DOLBY input.

I also need to set the SoundCard to DIGITAL also of course, otherwise I get NADA!

If I connect my Audio to a non-dobly input on the AMP then that too gives me Jack-Schitt
