Ok so my car is dirty again around the lower part of the door. What is the best way to deal with this...

Should I rinse it down with water first then wash it with shampoo, or should I clay it first before washing, then polish or compound if needed and then shampoo again and finally wax or do I wax before shampooing.

Pre Wash > Rinse > Wash > Rinse > Dry > Clay > Polish > Sealant / Wax (or ceramic)

Ah right, I need some pre wash. However I don’t have a pressure washer. All I have is a worx hydroshot which gets its water supply from a separate bucket which I fill with water before rinsing.

Would it work if I bought some pre wash and put that into the bucket instead of plain water, then after ran plain water through it to clear it of pre wash.

I just follow the dilution ratios on the manufacturer bottle, I'm currently using polar by Autoglym as its a big 5ltr bottle

According to Autoglym they recommend 100ml of product to 500ml of water as a starting point in their how to use guide here...

That’s not going to be a problem as I have a small measuring jug and a couple of funnels to get the product into the bottle.

Then I guess it’s just a case of plopping the other end into a bucket of water as you’d usually do, then it will mix the product with water from the bucket and spray onto the car.

Just checked the Worx bottle attachment and it holds 400ml so I’ll put 80ml of product and 320ml of water.

I think by “100ml of product to 500ml of water” they mean 600ml in total. So 400ml of water would need 80ml of product and 300ml of water need 60ml of product.

As the foaming bottle only holds 400ml I’ll have to use 300ml of water and 60ml of product therefore 360ml in total.

Received my AutoGlym Polar Blast today and have just decantated some into my foaming bottle...

Probably only about 330ml of liquid in it but that is close enough.

no i meant, not a lot of information around the worx hydroshot for pre wash (especially with BH autofoam which i have)

I just went with what was on the Internet/bottle. It said 100ml of product for every 500ml of water. Therefore 300ml only needs 60ml of product.

You should just check what the bottle of your foam suggests and mix it appropriately bearing in mind the soap bottle only contains 400ml.

The one bottle of soap/water got me through the entire car and there was very little left in the bottle after I’d done it.
