Hi,

I recently purchased a mini PC from Amazon.co.uk (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M8NQCQ5/ ) although for some reason they are no longer available. (I appreciate that the spec does make it sound more like a cheap tablet than a PC though!)

Surprisingly, despite excessive 'Googling', I am finding it difficult to obtain much more information on this particular product. The logo which appears whenever it is booted up shows the name VOUQI and it appears to be based on the Intel Valleyview setup.

Although it came with what appeared to be a genuine (Chinese) version of Windows 8.1 with Bing, with an option for an English installation, any attempt to go 'behind the scenes' as it were resulted in 'Chinese only' pages being displayed.

I did try and upgrade this to Windows 10, but after 14 hours searching for updates I gave up, got rid of everything, and installed a completely new UK version from a USB drive.

The device manager initially showed a "PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller" query, which I eventually fixed by finding the appropriate "Intel Trusted Execution Engine" files, and it is now error free.

What is not shown however is any reference to Bluetooth at all, despite it being shown as a feature, and I am also concerned at the lack of any audio output... even from the HDMI socket.

I even tried plugging in an external Bluetooth USB adaptor (which my 'main' Windows 10 PC recognised immediately) but this was not picked up at all either. This is a shame, as I had thought a 'quick fix' might be to use one of these devices with Bluetooth speakers.

I have not shown the full spec here, as it is listed in the above link, but it comes with an Intel Atom Quad-Core 64bit Z3735D processor and, apart from the two problems I have mentioned, seems to 'work' surprisingly well!

It is actually a very neat, well built and attractive looking device, the small, or even tiny, size of which really appealed to me, but I wondered if anyone has come across the name 'VOUQI' before, or has any idea where I might be able to find some more appropriate drivers, or configuration files?

I have of course contacted the supplier directly (through Amazon) and am currently waiting for a reply, but in the meantime I am hoping that some of the many experts on here might be able to help me progress a bit further!

Thanks! :)

Same with me, I never heard of Iokone before and tried to googled it to find information about Iokone Smart PC, model number PC010 and the product code B01M8NQCQ5 came up with no trace. Also struggled to find Iokone Smart PC website but I did managed to find Iokone website http://iokone.com/ so it did not have Smart PCs but they only selling dash DVD players, monitors, sensors, cameras and DVR for cars! Iokone is a brand owned by A-SMART Technology Inc, A-SMART only selling products for cars, not mini PCs.

I think Iokone Mini PC is probably fake and the real brand probably is YOUQI but I cant find any information about YOUQI either. :(

I wondered why did you purchased Iokone Mini PC with old Z3735D CPU without done any research? If you had done then you would never purchased it then you would went for other brand which offer same spec and size but with latest Cherry Trail Z8300 CPU for same price.

I did try and upgrade this to Windows 10, but after 14 hours searching for updates I gave up, got rid of everything, and installed a completely new UK version from a USB drive.

What updates you were looked for 14 hours?

Hope you made a backup of original Windows 10 with Bing preinstalled on Mini PC to USB drive. You probably missed out take note of Iokone OEM website link, contact, technical support details on system in control panel. I had these information on MeegoPad compute stick and Linx 10 tablet too.

The device manager initially showed a "PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller" query, which I eventually fixed by finding the appropriate "Intel Trusted Execution Engine" files, and it is now error free.

I have a MeegoPad compute stick with audio worked fine through HDMI and bluetooth speaker and keyboard worked great too. Looked like your Iokone Mini PC had both audio and Bluetooth disabled in UEFI by default so you will need to to into UEFI to enabled both and after that you should see Windows 10 detect both audio and Bluetooth and install drivers then you should hear audio through HDMI and pair with Bluetooth speaker work fine.

I have not shown the full spec here, as it is listed in the above link, but it comes with an Intel Atom Quad-Core 64bit Z3735D processor and, apart from the two problems I have mentioned, seems to 'work' surprisingly well!

Hope someone will know where to find VOYQI and where to find drivers for Iokone Mini PC but it look like Iokone offer no technical support outside china and they do not have a forum. MeegoPad, Voyo and others has their own forums and has drivers and BIOSes too but offer no technical support outside china.

Hi 'AthlonXP1800',

Just a quick thank you for such a detailed reply to my enquiry, which I really do appreciate.

I will reply in more detail later, but I hope that it is indeed just a case of enabling both the audio and Bluetooth options in UEFI, which I should be able to access directly from Windows 10 by: Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings > Restart.

That is what I hope to try out later anyway, and I will let you know how it goes!

I have feeling that I might have gone down this route before, and seem to recall ending up at what appeared to be an 'old fashioned' blue BIOS screen, but I will certainly have another look, and hope that I will be able to find the required options.

Thanks again!

David
