"Detecting array..."

I turned on my PC this morning and whilst booting up, it got stuck on "Detecting array..." and won't go past it.

It's the very first time I've seen this so I have no idea where to begin.

Anyone got any ideas on what might be causing this problem?

I thought it might've been a HDD problem, but I tried a different HDD and still get the same problem.

Are you running a single drive or RAID?

Just a single drive.

No, but I just put a new SATA power cable thing in the HDD and it worked so I'm guessing the wire I was using had gone **** up.
