Hi everyone. I just built a new pc:
MSI B550 Mag Tomahawk
Ryzen 5800x
I used the RAM from my previous system, Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200mhz. I've found that one of the sticks may be broken.
Initially I installed both sticks in the slots as described in the motherboard manual. However I was getting the RAM debug light. So I tried with just one of the sticks, and the pc booted fine. I swapped the sticks and found it wouldn't boot with the other stick. So I assume this means the stick is faulty?
I was considering resetting the CMOS, but surely if in the same slot one stick works and one stick doesn't, that means there is a fault with that stick of RAM
Perhaps it's worth buying a new set of RAM.
Help is appreciated
