Determining the mount of power needed

Hi all,

How do you determine the amount of power you will need from your PSU when choosing new components to build a computer?

OcUK Motherboard Bundle - Intel Core i7 2600K & Asus P8P67 Pro Intel P67 Mainboard

G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL )

I am using a 9880GT at the moment and have a 520W PSU.

Would be looking to upgrade the GPU within a few months as well.

When looking for a new PSU I asked on here, all the info was great.

I also checked this site out as a guide.
