Deus Ex and 2560 x 1600

Hi folks, I'm dying to get this working properly as I have not played through Deus Ex since it was first released.

I followed the guide on the steam forums. According to that guide the dx9 patch + the enhancements for lighting looks better than dx10...any thoughts?

One thing I can't seem to get sorted is the sound, it is very crackle-y and sounds terrible, its ruining it for me at the moment.

Anyone else had any sound issues?

Heres hoping Deus Ex 3 delivers the goods :)

But take a look at the pic I posted, that is dx10. Don't think the dx9 stuff looks as nice. The steam forum guide is a bit outdated also. If you look at the last post, the author admits he must update his post. But will do so in 5 months. lol.

If you can get it to look better then my pic, let me know what you did so I can do also :)

I know the thread you are on about:

So does using the DX10 renderer also screw with the textures from the new vision pack?

I am using OpenGL at the minute and have not tried the DX10 renderer.

Thank you very much for posting that sound fix, all good now and I can enjoy the game once again. :)

I have the DX10 renderer now too thanks to this thread, makes it a little easier on the eyes!
