Managed to find a copy of Deus Ex 2 invisible war for sale cheap, never played it so thought why not.
What a pain in the backside! First install, game wouldn't record settings, took 10+ attempts to get in to the game from the menu crashing etc. Played until the lift and back screen.
Uninstalled and tried again, figured out I have to set affinity to 1 cpu during the intro each time I load it to get the menu to load. Settings now save, however, as soon as you get to the player creation screen and load the game you just get a black screen. This happens every time. I managed once, while using task manager to get the chapter to load, but as mentioned above it stopped again as soon as you get to the lift.
Anyone solved this? Lots of stuff on google and hoping someone can suggest something without me wading through 7 year old threads and junk.
AMD 64 x2 4400+, 2 gb ram, 7800gtx gfx card and win 7 64.
