Developments in 2021

More overinflated price hikes from retailers regardless of stock, blaming anything from the weather to how much milk was in their coffee that day.

People switching back to intel for a 5% performance increase in cs go and minecraft.

Everyone getting fed up and just buying a console.

The rise of ARM Computing as an alternative to x86 from Apple and Microsoft.
Also expect little supply for this year GPU, and same situation for Nvidia 3000 super and AMD 7000 series.

Hopefully AMD have put the frighteners on Nvidia and Nvidia will release their next GPUs late next year. Stock increases will mean price drops as competition takes hold.

People might switch to Intel because it offers better value.

Good shout. ARM will be very interesting and if Intel and AMD don't improve supplies there will be great opportunities if/when ARM can be delivered in volume.

Honestly, more of the same. Nvidia will deliver large quantities of 3080 and 3090, which will sit on the shelves while people fight over the trickle of 20gb 3080 ti.

Guessing it'll be easier to get hold of amd hardware though.

Hope so. I forget which techtuber it was who said to expect increased stocks and lower prices around Feb to Apr 2021. While it would probably be very easy to find 'an expert' saying exactly the opposite I got the feeling that guy knew what he was talking about.

I can see Apple bringing out an ARM iMac which is going to an absolute stormer in terms of productivity if the M1 was anything to go by.

A lot of moaning when nVidia bring out the Ti versions for $50 more than non-Ti ... ;-)

I think many UK retailers will unfortunately use Brexit and trade import teething problems to raise prices on almost everything including pc components throughout the first half of the new year.

Can just import direct from Europe then since there is no tariffs.

Is Intel rolling out discreet GPUs in 2021? That should be interesting, even if the first gen lags Nvidia and AMD in raw performance..
