Device disconnecting and reconnecting, not sure what.

So I've got this issue were a piece of hardware is disconnecting and then reconnecting, however I cannot tell what it is. Windows makes the noise it makes when you plug in a new USB device and then my mouse, keyboard and headset switch off and come back on again sometimes within a few seconds other times longer.

I had thought it was a motherboard or an issue with my RAID 0 setup, so I decided to refresh the PC and changed from:
Ryzen 1800x, Asus ROG Crosshair VI
3 Samsung 960 Pro SSDS

I now have:

Intel i7 8700k,

Asus ROG Maximus Hero X

Samsung 970 M.2 NVME as my main boot drive.

I kept my Corsair RM850 PSU, Corsair Dominator Platinum 16Gb 3200Mhz RAM, MSI Seahawk X 1080ti GPU and Hybrid 2tb Seagate HDD from the previous build and the Corsair K65 Lux, Scimitar RGB and Polaris RGB mouse mat.

The motherboard is running the 1503 Bios.

This error seems to occur randomly, I can be gaming, browsing the internet or watching YouTube or movies.

I'm so stumped with what's causing this! More so since it has carried across to the new setup.

Thanks for reading and any help offered in advance!

Changing from platform with upgrade path to one without...

At least start by leaving that bling bling mouse mat disconnected for a time.
Any unnecessary device is one potential problem source more.

Also this page has quite good information:

That USBDeview wouldn't show it it's some Bluetooth/Wifi disconnection (do you have those?) but should show USB related causes fast.

Nothing bluetooth at all all. Just the HyperX Cloud 2s, K65 Lux, Scimitar, RGB Polaris and the monitor's usb hub (which currently has nothing plugged in).

Have you tired removing these one at a time to see if it is one of them? My money would be on the monitors usb hub fwiw.

What I've noticed, and completely forgot to mention, is sometimes when I boot the PC up the mouse does not always come on and I have to un-plug it and then plug it back in to get it to work.

Try turning off Fast Boot in the power options. I have a PC at home that was doing similar (intel build) and turning off fast boot seems to have sorted it. Guess stuff doesn't always like hibernating...

Unfortunately not... I literally threw the older one out the other week to!
shame.
given you you've built a whole new system and are still getting the same problem it almost certainly points to it being one of your peripherals causing the issue.

p.s. buidling a whole new system was a bit of an extreme first fix!

Lol true, however it seemed before there was issues with my mobo and older SSDs too, so just made the decision to refresh xD.

maybe see if you can pick up a cheap kb & mouse (real cheapo jobbies can be had for a few quid) that way you can rule those out cheaply and easily.
