Just got home to the pc, was chatting on msn and pc suddenly switches itself off, and i switches it back on and noticed there was a huge list of devices at the POST screen where it says "Verifying DMI Pool Data" got to windows, logged on and kept getting "Found New Hardware IEEE 1394 Controller" and it kept flashing and saying "Your New Hardware is installed and ready to use". So i booted into safe mode and opened device manager and noticed this huge list.

Any idea whats going on?

System specs are

Athlon 64 X2 4800 939
Abit AN8 Fatal1ty SLi
Enermax Noisetaker 600W
HIS Radeon X850 XT

Dunno but I'd delete them all in safe mode, also enable that disabled Multimedia device and find a driver for it. Then restart and see.

Nope, i disabled the onboard 1394 controller in BIOS and it seems to have gone away. This is what it also said at POST

:S

That is strange. Might be worth flashing the bios.
