Hi,

The mobo in my media centre recently died, and Abit f190hd with an ati xpress1250 chipset.

I dropped an ich9 board in there (asusp5e-vm-hdmi) and to my suprise it booted up without bluescreen.

unfortunately I cannot get the intel g35 display running properly. device manager says it cannot find enough resources error code 12.

I have disabled all the onboard stuff except display and lan. cleaned the registry and tried several reg cleaners and driver uninstall utils. I've also swept the hd for ati*.* files.

The machine has 4gb of ram so thats not the problem. I'm really out of ideas now. please please help. Thanks

So you've replaced an abit board with an asus board without reinstalling Windows? Is there anything stopping you backing up and starting again because it will probably be a lot quicker than trying to pinpoint the particular problem.

Have a look at this, tell you how to get Device Manager to list devices that have been disconnected but still have drivers present.

But really in this situation a rebuild is your best option.

Dude!

K.C. Leblanc, your a star mate. Now up and running. I'm working away next week so don't have time to rebuild it but if it isn't working my misses would spent most of the week on the phone to me :)

Thanks very much
