Devil May Cry for the 360 CONFIRMED

DMC is a yawnfest anyway - no skill needed

Could say the same thing about Final Fantasy, but it didn't stop it from being a fun game. It was the crap stories, robot-like characters and corny love intrests that did that :p

HeeHee anyone seen this yet:

To: Capcom

We (The people that have signed this petition) feel very left out in your decision to make Devil May Cry 4 a Multi-Platform title, and hereby agree to boycott your sale of Capcom affiliated games. This is due to your decision to turn your back on your most faithful gaming company. For years we have enjoyed games, we have reaped the benefits of your committment to Sony. We find it absolutely demoralizing for not only the gamers, but also Sony itself. We want you to know that will not, and should not stand for your actions, and therefore withold our option of buying your product.

Seems like a lot of PS owners are a bit disgruntled, although these online petitions never ever ever work.
But it is up to over 5000 signatures. Went up 300 in the last few hours.

It is sad indeed :p I already posted it in another thread but no-one seemed to care

How stupid and ignorant can people be? I've just come accross a petition of people planning to boycot capcom if they release DMC4 on the Xbox 360

It already has around 2,500 signitures of people saying they are not going to buy the game if it goes multi-platform, but they fail to realise that even if they don't buy the game Capcom still stands to make a hell of a lot more profit from going multi-platform with it rather then keeping it on PS3. I guess it must hurt them after losing their reason(s) of spending so much on a console only to have them go to their cheaper rival one after the other.

If they do boycot it, capcom still stand to make a whole lot more profit if they go multi-platform whats 5,000-10,000 lost sales compared to an extra 250,000+ on Xbox 360? I just don't understand how people can be so petty its not like they are losing anything or missing out. Its a smart move by capcom IMO, with games becoming more and more expensive its only natural that they need to increase the profits of the game if they want to stay in business, Hell I would rather have it on both systems then lose the series all together :/

I bet 95% of those people who signed that thing are two faced and will buy it anyway (but wont admit they did ;)).

This is fantastic news :D Ever since seeing the first DMC on the PS2 I've always wanted to play it (never had a PS2) and have since forgotten about the game(s), can't wait for this now :D

Man oh man the 360 keeps getting better and better :)

I think this is a great move for capcom. It was also wise to move Resident Evil 4 to the PS2, as although it was graphically inferior to its gamecube sibling so many more people go to play it and capcoms popularity soared.

Feel sorry for Nintendo in that case, and Sony in this case.

Thats a pretty sad petition. "We ain't buying your games no more cuz you're expanding your audience!". Looks like Capcom higher ups just smell the money in 360 since fresh IPs (Lost Planet, Dead Rising) did so well. When PS3 gets into full swing, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lost Planet/Dead Rising and more on there too.

No need to apologise it was in a different DMC4 thread :) When I posted it the petition was at 2,500 signitures I can't believe its doubled overnight. I've actually read some of the petition over the past 24 hours and found some of the comments quite funny :p 99% of the signitures though are just bitter sony fanboys talking crap about how Capcom have betrayed Sony after they made them famous

Good news for all 360 owners, but personally I think there is enough exclusive PS3 titles coming to look forward to for all the PS3 owners without worrying about DMC going multiformat.

Personally I'm looking more forward to the likes of Lair, over DMC, MGS or the likes of FF.

Also with coming out (within the next 6-9 months (hopefully):

Heavenly Sword
Everybody's Golf
Warhawk
Ninja Gaiden
Rachett & Clank
The Getaway
Killzone
Singstar

Sony's exclusives appear pretty healthy as long as they don't drag to much in being released.

Just to let you guys know PS3 is a good Blu Ray player, and it has Motorstorm, F1 and Resistance.

Come on 3 good exclusive games aint bad ok its not wonderfull but really are you shocked this has been rumoured for quite sometime.....

This is not what the thread is about.
Goddamn it fanboys

You are confused as im not a fanboy, just a gamer with concerns.
The petition is laughable, total joke of youngsters huffing.

Last i looked i had a PS3 and 360 id prefer to judge both on their merits.
Then again i criticised probably more than anyone the releases that were on schedule with very few AAA games for the PS3. How bad the launch line up was for a system weve waited so long for. Please remember i argued with people here that seen the PS3 and its chances prior to launch as a little overestimated.

This news of yet another game is further proof of another problem Sony face but not just attributed to Sony as id suggest every games developer now with the additional cost of producing games for the HD era is much more costly and why now multiplatform is perhaps required. Sony maybe didnt see this coming or the Rockstar bombshell but as we know had the PS3 of been selling lets say llike the wii then chances are it would still be retaining more exclusives.

Personally i couldnt care less as a gamer, if anything having more than one platform to play a game on then gives us gamers the choice of purchasing which one we discover is best or has certain features others dont.

It looks like it will be 2008 before the PS3 really gets to amount a good selection of exclusives, however Sonys own internal software divisions will have to bring forward some special releases.
