Hey All,
I currently have a Wireless Access Point set up in my room, which is receives an ethernet connection from a switch (more specifically a dual-ethernet motherboard acting as one) and the switch receiving an ethernet connection from one of the Devolo D-LAN Powerline Adapters I have set up in my house.
Once my PC powers down, the ethernet switch remains active, and I am still able to receive a wireless signal from my WAP for a while, however once my powerline adapter switches to standby mode by itself (since the PC is powered down) I am unable to receive any connection from my WAP anymore.
So my question is this: is there anyway to disable the adapter's auto-standby feature, so there is always a constant internet connection being received (regardless of whether my PC is on or off) to be fed to the WAP? Alternatively does anybody know of any other brand of adapter which allows this?
Thanks in advance,
wobble
