Hey all,

I'm looking at buying a circular saw, either the DEWALT DWE576K (already has indents for guide rails) or the Makita HS7611J (have to buy an adaptor, but equals same price).

Cannot decide which to buy, Makita looks like it has better grip, visibility of what I'm cutting. However the Dewalt already has the indents for guide rails.

The Makita has slightly more power too.

Any suggestions which I should go for.

Thanks in advance.

Ps

I don’t have a circular saw currently and can’t afford buy a tracksaw or table saw yet, hence going with the above.

The proper comparison of them are:

Dewalt
1600 Watt
5200rpm
Depth 61mm
Price £168 + £46.99 for rail = £214.99 total.

Makita
1600W
5500rpm
Depth 65mm
£112 + £47.30 for adapter + £50 for rail = £209.3 total.
