Changing to a mATX has just become even more tempting for me...
 
It'll be P45 as G45 can't split the PCI-E lanes for Crossfire.

Also if you look at the back headers there is no DVI port so no onboard graphics.

no onboard vid means a bit cheaper surely? but the dual pci-e will bump it up. hmmm

hope atis cards are decent!

hope the onboard audio is decent too, crossfire means no sc :/

Unless you use a single slotter for one of the cards or both.

2 x 4850's or 1 x 4850 + 1 x 4870 :D
 
TBH 8x PCI-E 2.0 isn't that bad anyway, it is the same bandwidth as 16x PCI-E 1.1 that we've all been using for ages without a problem.

Even Crossfire benchies on P45 using 8x 8x are nigh on identicle to X38/X48 boards running 16x 16x.
