Could someone please let me know, what the Interlacing is called in the Dfi mobo bios? I'm a bit peeved that i can't find it... Could do with some help please. Thanks

Ah I suppose, but not seen that in a BIOS since the VIA KT133 chipset.

On that board the BIOS will choose the optimum bank interleave, it isn't setable on that board. If you can run a higher interleave there's no benifit from not doing which is why that board chooses the optimum

What memory are you using?

2 x 256MB will usually be 2 bank, 2 x 512MB will usually be 4 bank, 2 x 1024MB may be 8 bank, may still be 4 bank, i'm not sure. It depends on the internal organisation of the IC's

My knowledge of memory has been updated here, thanks Starfall. I readabout Bank Interleave (thought it was interlacing), but didn't know the process had been updated

2x512 Memory Modules have 2ranks, 4banks. OCZ Platinum DDR400 Pair.
