Hey,

Originally had 1GB (2 x 512MB) Sticks of Corsair Twin X, Working fine, not overclocked

Today added Another Gig (2 x 512MB) But of Kingston (Value Ram  )

But when all four dimms are filled it wont post, Ive tried every combonation, Every stick works together with every other stick but not when all 4 sticks are in :(

Tried Clearing CMOS, SafeBoot, Increasing the VDIMM to 2.8v Still no luck, Any ideas.

Would a Bios Update Help at all? (Havent tried yet as i dont have a floppy disk to hand)

Check my sig for Specs

mixing different makes of ram is never a good idea. DFI's can be especially picky about that. especially when using 4 x 512mb chips.

Your best bet would be to sell all the ram and buy 2 x 1gb (matched) sticks personally speaking.

You may of already tried this but what i would is
put the Kingston's in slot 1 & 3 boot up make sure T1 is switched to T2 or it maybe Command Per Clock Disable in bios boot into windows use something like A64info to see the default memory timings write down as much as you can.

Reboot go back to bios put the timings in manualy reboot to see if windows loads with manual timings then turn off put corsair in 2 & 4 slot & pray.
The corsair is likely to be the stronger ram & should workdown to the kingstons timings but the kingstons will not work at the corsair timing thus why making sure the bios is at the kingstons timing & not auto.

OR SELL ~& GET 1GBX2

Problem Solved, Gave dad the 1GB Kingston and swapped for idenitcal Corsair, 1GB > 2GB sure make a heck of a difference.

CS MAX Stress Test, 1GB, 93FPS
2GB , 126FPS

Thanks for the replies Guys!
