DFI, PWmic chip, how hot can these go before they become unstable

I have an X2 overclocked system.

This is making the PWmic chip get rather hot in load can hit 50C easy.

I have put a a heatsink on it made from an old pentium one heatsink to try and keep it cooled down.

But what is the maxium temp that these can get to?

Okies, well hopeful a friend is giving me a RAM sink for it, so that will have better design than a hacked up P1 heatsink.

well least I know I have a little more heat room to overclock.

Iv got my friends good camera aswel, might aswel let you see the heatsink

That is the heatsink in the middle

Yeh should help, just use the ceramic instead of silver to make sure you dont short out the board.

They are fuzzy because I cant hold a camera still at that zoom

no. you see the rectangular chip above the red box and to the right of the DIMMS.

On your images its got a wire crossing over it.

Yup but I tend not to like any part of my PC to go into the 60C range not counting the GPU because all they do when they fail is kick you out of the game and they cool down.
