Hey,

Just got myself a 2nd hand DFI SLi-D and am a bit inexperienced when it comes to configuring it, so many bios settings..!
Anyways,
I just wanted to know if its possible to have my cpu fan on full constantly as I would prefer that the mobo didn't control the fan speed. I simply refuse to believe the temps im getting, dual priming on a 3200 winnie @ 2.4ghz at ~38c load using a stock FX/X2 HSF.
In the bios option it has option for turning fan off when it drops below a certain temp and and option for full speed for above a certain temp. Any way of completely disabling this and having the hsf running on full speed constantly?

Any help greatly appreciated :)

What's the minimum always on temp you can select? I think it's about 25C so that would do the trick.

Other way round it is to simply power it off a molex but you'll need a 3 to 4 pin converter.

I thought it was just me that couldnt turn it on full power constantly...I hate it when it gets to a certain temp..and the fan starts pulsing on and off full speed. However...at least it makes it quieter for periods of just general use!

Just set the temp for the fan to go full whack at 25C. I doubt your chip will ever get down to 25C and hence the fan will always be going full whack:)
