Anyone got any experience, good or bad, of DFS? I am thinking of buying a couple of sofas in their sale (no ****?! The have a sale on???) to improve my movie viewing experience and comfort. Is their stuff any good? What of their aftersales service if something goes wrong?
I have looked qt q couple of nice ones, both with and without recliners.

I bought a DFS sofa after not being able to find one anywhere else that was even close for what we wanted and it's been brilliant. The aftersales was very good, they accidently delivered the wrong foot stool (the cover was the wrong shade to match the colourset of the sofa), and they rectified it quickly and easily.

my experience has been very good and the sofa is very good quality.

After ales is fantastic had an issue with our couches sagging At nearly 3 years old they were out the next day to inspect and had a repair team out to sort them including frame repairs and a few other bits

Our new corner arrives from you guessed it Dfs again 3 weeks today

Our experience with Dfs has Been fantastic

Bare in mind that their sale (and most furniture shop sales) refers to only the models for that season.

A lot of the really popular sofas (for example I bought a leather corner sofa) are not in the sale because they are year round products.

Anyways, I've had my sofa two years now and the only issue I had really was the delivery. The build time was like eight weeks and then one day I got a call to say it was ready and they would be delivering and setting it up on Friday (It was Wednesday). They said it would be anywhere between 9-5.

That was no good to me, as I couldn't not be in work, so I asked if they did the weekend, which they didn't. The representative on the phone basically then just said I had to take delivery of it on Friday... to which I asked well what if I can't physically be there? She didn't really have a comeback to that, but I got a bit peeved pointing out that we'd spent nearly 2k & they were being inconvenient and couldn't even arrange a delivery date that suited me.

In the end she rang the depot to see if they could make it the first delivery of the day at 9am. So I agreed to that, half expecting them to turn up whenever, but surprisingly they were there before 9am and the two guys got the whole sofa in and made up nice and quick. So can't really fault them for that part.

I did wonder about their inflexibility of delivery. If you have to wait 10 weeks to get the thing, what harm is there in going a day or two in delivery?

interest free options *** too :@)

was given the choice of ours pay over 1/2/3 or 4 years interest free

ended up going over the year but they certainly try and give you plenty of choice

Ouch - sounds really painfull... Obviously a fault with the springs then?

I've been wondering the same.. they just look really cheap and tacky.. Could be wrong though.

cant really fault them, ours has taken dogs abuse and although we did have an issue with our sofas they were out and fixed them no problem at 2 yrs old funnily enough one of the few sofa companies that have their own in house upholsterers and sofa fixing people.

£39 quid apparently. I was going to play the "I'll but it right now if you waive the delivery charge" card. Still can't make up my mind whether to go for the (considerably dearer) recliners or not.

Recently got my DFS sofa delivered as well.

It did take a while to build (almost 8 weeks) but it was just about worth it.

I went for a recliner , which is the best thing to watch movies on. If you cant afford the electric recliners , get a manual one at least.
